Obituary for Gene Truman Taylor Gene Truman Taylor, 81, of Gatesville, formerly of Proctor, passed away Tuesday July 17, 2018, in Temple. A funeral service, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche, will be held in the Heartland Chapel 11 A.M. Saturday, July 21, 2018, with Brent Barnet officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Cut Cemetery in Cross Cut, Texas.
