Genoveva’s Obituary Genoveva C. Delgado, 95, of Hereford passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 AM at La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church with Rev. Nestor Lara as celebrant, burial to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Rosary will be at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Viewing will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Genoveva was born January 3, 1924 in Camp Wood, Texas to Genaro and Katarina (Falcon) Carillo. Genoveva has been a resident of Hereford since 1957. She was a waitress at Leo’s Café.

Genoveva was very active and a member of La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church. She enjoyed being in her flower garden and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Genoveva always prayed for her family and those in need.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Ramon Delgado of Baytown, Texas, a son Ignacio Ramon of Del Rio, Texas and a daughter Alicia Ramon Salazar of Hereford; three step-children Rose Soto and Elizabeth Delgado both of Baytown, Texas and Michelle DeLeon of Houston, Texas; several brothers and sisters; 20 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren. Genoveva was preceded in death by her parents, a son Benito Ramon, Jr. her first husband Benito Ramon, Sr. and several brothers and sisters.
