Obituary for George Albert Jones George Albert Jones, age 81 of Springfield, passed away Monday, December 03, 2018 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Arrangements entrusted to Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier, 2619 Hwy. 41 S., Greenbrier, TN 37073.

A graveside service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Chad Phelan officiating. He was born in Nashville, TN on June 30, 1937 to the late Walter Benjamin Jones, Sr. and the late Georgia Reeves Jones.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nora Faye Jones; sons, Robert Castell, Jerry Castell and a brother, Walter Benjamin Jones, Jr. George was a graduate of Goodlettsville High school and was retired from Ford Glass Plant with 38 years of service. He also served in the US Air Force, was a longtime member and former deacon at Ebenezer Baptist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason. He is survived by children, James E. (Monica) Castell, Deborah F. Kennison, Sherrie D. Castell; sister, Carolyn J. Smith; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church (Building Fund), 6028 Ebenezer Road, Greenbrier, TN 37073. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be made at www.
