Daloia “Loving husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather“ Mr. George C. Daloia, 93, of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Meridian Manor Health and Rehabilitation. He was the beloved husband of Lucia (DeVito) Daloia for 68 years. George was born in Waterbury, CT on April 17, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Assunta “Susan” (Muccino) Daloia.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for Hayden Switch & Instrument in Waterbury before his retirement in 1990. He was a past member of the Waterbury Elks BPOE #265.

In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Besides his wife of Waterbury, he is survived by one daughter, Georgeanna Perugini and her husband, Saverio “Sam” of Prospect, two grandchildren, Maria Rodriguez and her husband, Rene of Prospect, Saverio Perugini, Jr. of Kettering, OH and two great grandchildren, Olivia and Carina Rodriguez. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Olga Roy and her husband Donald and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by one brother, Donato Daloia and two sisters, Lucia Daloia and Mary Renkun. Arrangements: His funeral will be held on Monday, December 24, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to SS. Peter & Paul Church for a Mass at 9:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday evening from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
