George’s Obituary George Frederick Boyer, Jr., known to most as “Skip”, was born June 5, 1939 to Loretta and George Boyer, Sr in Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Margaret and step-daughter, Ronda Robinson of Pilot Point, TX and his sister Rosella Deilly of Pennsylvania. Skip and Margaret were married almost 60 years in July.

In the last 20 plus years, they hailed from Sanger, Texas. Skip and Margaret were member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Denton. As a result of his profession, they lived from the East Coast to the West Coast.

Skip joined the Air Force at 18 and became a jet mechanic at Altus Air Force Base in Altus, OK. After serving in the Air Force, he started his first career as a fireman and EMT in Amarillo, TX which lasted 17 years. Using his GI Bill, he acquired his pilot’s license.

Skip later became a flight instructor, charter pilot and ultimately a corporate pilot. He flew for oil companies, coal companies, emergency medical, CellStar and many others. He taught many how to fly and he flew all over the world himself.

Skip retired from Simuflight at DFW. Skip loved adventurous things like scuba diving, snow skiing, and riding his ‘74 Harley. In the last several years, Skip developed dementia from a stroke.

Although he did very little talking, everyone who came in contact with him loved him. Skip had a kind and generous heart.
