George Gerald Nigel Born to Life on March 5, 1935, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, the son of George and Evelyn (nee Pierce) Nigel, George was Born to Eternal Life on September 12, 2018, in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, surrounded by his loving family. He was the cherished husband of Ruth Angeline Stright, and they were the proud parents of Cindy and Jeff. George proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and he worked as a machinist for many years at Louis Allis Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He truly loved the outdoors and sailing on the lake. George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth. He is survived by his dear children, daughter Cindy (John) Schmidler and son Jeffrey (Jean) Nigel; his cherished grandchildren, Adam Schmidler and Sean, Alison and Matthew Nigel; and his siblings, Kenneth (Anne) Nigel, Shari Nigel; and his half brother the late Jim (the late Marilyn) Pierce; in addition to being survived by other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held for George on Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 9:30am until the time of the Memorial Service at 10:30am, all at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Chapel, 3801 West Morgan Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53221. Burial with military honors of George’s cremains at Mt.

Olivet Cemetery next to Ruth’s cremains will follow the service. “May he rest in peace.
