Milton, WI George H. Frank, Jr. born July 21, 1944 went to his heavenly home Monday, September 10, 2018. He lived in Milton on the family farm helping before and after school. He went to Milton High School where he played football and according to him and messages written in his yearbook, he was a star.

After high school he was very proud to have served in the United States Army at Ft. Hood, Texas and in Vietnam. He always laughed saying he actually gained weight while in basic training… Read More » because he was used to hard work on the farm.

After the service he attended electronics school and got a job at Gisholt Machine Co. where he traveled working on large machinery until they had a large layoff. George then went to work for the family owned business as an independent owner operator with his own dump truck for Frank Bros. until retirement.

He loved to drive and put on maybe a million miles (? ) during his driving years. When he wasn’t driving his dump truck he was driving his pickup.

George was an excellent driver and well known for bringing donuts, chicken etc. for the crews. Even after retirement he was always picking up goodies even when it became difficult to walk.

He loved to play cards with his friends during the winter months, belonged to a bowling league for many years and played golf when he could. Snowmobiling was a favorite sport and would head North every winter where there was snow. He also enjoyed taking the dogs for runs on the farm in the winter with the snowmobile and in summer with the Prowler.

Lawn mowing was a favorite of his as he loved anything he could drive even the motorized carts in the stores. He loved and was loved by family and his many friends as well as the numerous German Shepherds he helped to care for while waiting to be rehomed through the rescue and especially those that never left. George always had a smile and a good word to say.

He was a lifelong member of St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church in Milton ushering and serving on many committees. George was the son of the late George H. Sr and Doris (Talbert) Frank and the brother of the late Arnold Frank.

He is survived by his wife Karen of 26 years, two daughters Kathleen (Daryl) Crawford and Kay (Dave) Maurer, four grandchildren, Matthew Davis, Rachel (Chad) Snyder, Heather (Micah) Christensen and Samantha Maurer, two great grandchildren Phoenix and Braxton, three sisters, Diann (Louis) Marquis, Joanne (Floyd) Pollock, and Sandra Ritchey along with nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. Visitation is Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church 910 E. High Street Milton, WI with funeral services to follow officiated by Pastor Larry Schwanke.
