George H. Fiebka, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 68, in Limerick, Ireland. George was born to Duncan and Muriel (Bellen) Fiebka in Amsterdam on August 31, 1950. He was a graduate of Amsterdam High School, class of 1968.

George went on to attended college in Boston and later returned to Amsterdam, N.Y.; where he met the love of his life Donna Lawrinait. They married in 1973, and had three children. George was third generation on the Amsterdam Police Department; where he retired in 1997.

He and Donna also ran their own business in Amsterdam, Colonial Signs, for over a decade. He had many loves and interests, but family always came first. He is predeceased by his parents Duncan and Muriel (Bellen) Fiebka.

He is survived by his wife Donna (Lawrinait), and (3) children: George J. Fiebka (Carrie), Sabrina Spratt (Jeff), and Luke Fiebka (Jessica). Four grandchildren; Allyson & Madison Gordon and Nicholas & Theresa Fiebka. He is also survived by his loyal dog Dexter.

A brief graveside service will be held at 1pm, on Tuesday May 7th, with close family and friends. Pastor Rev. Dr. Raymond M. Barnett will officiate at the Perth Cemetery on Route 107.

In honor of his love for home brewing a celebration of life will be held at Wolf Hollow Brewery, 6882 Amsterdam Road (Route 5) in Scotia from 4pm to 8pm, all are welcome.
