George L. Rumble Sr., 95 of Moon Township passed on May 11, 2019 at his residence. Born November 19, 1923 in West Brownsville, PA son of the late Earl and Sarah (Starr) Rumble; Beloved husband for 70 years to the late Eleanor (Cole) Rumble who he married October 25, 1947; mother of Virginia Parsons (the late William) of Weirton, WV and Larry Rumble (Cindy) of Trafford, PA; grandmother of Elizabeth Rumble, Sarah Parsons, George Rumble III, Anthony Rumble and Daniel Rumble. George proudly served our country during WWII in the United States Navy.

George loved to research the genealogy of his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coraopolis since 1954, as well as the American Legion and Sons of the American Revolution and was loved by family and friends. Viewing Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Road on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.

Service Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Coraopolis, Dr. Rev. Holley Faulkner Jr. officiating. Interment Thursday at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the First Baptist Church of Coraopolis.
