George Loren Wyatt, Sr., 71 HARTFORD CITY – George Loren Wyatt, Sr., 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 6:21 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Richard L. Rodebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born in Lebanon, MO on December 30, 1946 to Cecil F. Wyatt and Catherine P. (Mosure) Wyatt. Both his parents preceded him in death.

George served in the United States Army from August 26, 1966 until May 25, 1969, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal,… Read More » Vietnam Service Medal with Four Bronze Service Stars and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He married Betty L. (Fights) on August 25, 1969 in Eaton. George retired from the Hartford City Water Department and had formerly worked at 3M Company and Premix.

He was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Dunkirk, Hartford City AMVETS and Moyer-Pooler American Legion. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and working around his home. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty L. Wyatt of Hartford City; children, Melissa (husband, Daniel) Reese of Hartford City, George Loren (wife, Bobbi) Wyatt Jr. of Hartford City and Catherine “Cathy” C. Wyatt (friend, Bennie Conley) of Hartford City; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (wife, Melva) Wyatt of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews.

He is also preceded in death by a grandchild, siblings, Calvin F. Wyatt, Gary Wyatt, Betty Cavanaugh, Pauline Loven and Patsy Spurlock. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Friday, November 23, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City with Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery, with Military Honors conducted by the Dunkirk American Legion. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 pm Friday, November 23, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.
