Manfra, George Sr. of Middleton formerly of East Boston, peacefully passed away on April 26th. Beloved husband of the late Carmella “Millie” (Oliva-Morani). Devoted father of Sandra Dicato of Peabody, George Manfra, Jr and wife Lori of Malden and the late Donald Manfra and surviving wife Lois.

Dear stepfather of Laura Dacarakis and husband George of Saugus, George Morani of Merrimack, MA and former wife Milanda, Gregory Morani and wife Jackie of Middleton and late Linda Brown. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Also survived by his cherished grand and great grandchildren, as well as, many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor George’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., (Orient Heights) East Boston on Monday, April 30th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday morning at 11 AM for a graveside service in celebration of George’s life in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. George was a teacher for the Boston Public Schools for over 35 years, as well as, Peabody School System and North shore Tech until he was 90 years old. Past member for over 50 years the Boston Teacher’s Union Retired Chapter, MFT, VFW Post 6712, Malden Moose, Winthrop Knights of Columbus and was an instructor for Boys Club at St. John’s Church in Winthrop.

George was born in Boston on Feb 2, 1923 to the late Jeremiah and Rose (Bertucelli) Manfra.
