Mr. George Mitchell Crabtree, 70, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. He was a Vietnam Veteran, dedicating many years of service to the US Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Karen S. Crabtree of the home; his mother, Elaine Hodge Casten of Fayetteville; two daughters, Alexis Newsom and husband, Andrew of Fayetteville and Melissa Brown and husband, Benjamin of Raleigh; two brothers, Freddy Casten and wife, Debbie of Manning, S.C. and Pat Casten of Fayetteville; one grandson, Rylan Newsom; and a dear friend he treated like a son, Tony Saraceni of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Christus Victor Lutheran Church with a memorial service to follow at 3 pm with Pastor Joe Christina officiating. Burial will be held at 11 am Monday, June 25, 2018 in Cumberland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church 1201 Hope Mills Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
