Mr. Harrison was a lifelong resident of Monroe County and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He retired from the State of Alabama Bridge Crew.

Mr. Harrison is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Harrison and Margaret “Maggie” Sellers Harrison; his wife, Amanda Rebecca “Peggy” Harrison; and his daughter, Deborah Kay Ikner. Survivors include his son, Darrell Harrison and wife Louise of Uriah, AL; his brother, Harold Harrison and wife Faye of Uriah, AL; three grandchildren, Derek Harrison and wife Delania, Heather Ikner Wasden and husband Travis, and Erica Hope Jeter and husband Danny; seven great grandchildren, Elizabeth Travis, Emily Wasden, Cecilia Harrison, Shane Reed, Dawson Chagnon, Kyndal Hyatt, and Zayden Harrison; and one great-great grandchild Madilynn Travis. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 7th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Uriah. The family is accepting flowers or donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
