Mrs. Georgene F. Binder, 74, of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Friday, May 24th at St. Luke’s Hospital, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Franklin D. Binder. Born on Tuesday, April 24, 1945 in Allentown, Pa.

, she was a daughter of the late George & Florence (Strohl) Romanchik. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the garment industry as a sewing machine operator at Fernbrook Sportswear, Palmerton, Pa. Georgene loved spending time with her loving family & grandchildren and enjoyed sewing, working on crafts, and playing Bingo.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Penny A. wife of Mitchell Reinheimer of Lehighton, Denise A. wife of Joseph Lower of Palmerton, a son, Michael D. Binder of Wind Gap, 2 sisters, Theresa, wife of Dennis Balliet of Jim Thorpe, Ann, wife of Rick Decker of Lehighton, a brother, James Romanchik & his companion Arlene of Jim Thorpe, 5 grandchildren, Mindy, Jesse, Nathan, Casey, Reese, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Private services are at the convenience of the family. Interment in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton, Pa.

Memorial Contributions in her name may be made to The American Heart Association, 1020 Ash Street, Kulpmont, Pa. 17834.
