Gerald’s Obituary Gerald C. Jensen, 92, of Grace, ID, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 Born June 7, 1926 to Jess King Jensen and Florence Cazier Jensen in Afton, Wyoming and was raised in Wayan, ID. Where they built the family homestead, which is where he spent his years after he retired. Previous to that he worked various jobs that included the saw mill in Freedom, WY, the Black Shovelers in Monsanto, and worked for various farmers around Rupert and Grace, ID.

Sheering sheep and various other farm duties were his way of providing income and something he enjoyed doing. He married Jacqueline Mayne June 7, 1962, they had 5 children, but they were later divorced in 1979. He lived in Wayan up until the last few years of his life.

He enjoyed spending time working on the farm when he wasn’t too busy enjoying the company of his loved animals, riding the herd of horses he always seemed to have, and watching his grandchildren participate in rodeo activities. He is survived by his ex-wife Jacqueline Gessford, 2 sons – Thomas & Pat Jensen and Greg & Martha Jensen, 3 daughters – Lisa & David Winder, Jessica Bassett, & Sarah Devine, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one on the way. The family would like to thank everyone for the kind compassionate care that Gerald received during his final days.

Services will be Tuesday March 5, 2019, 12:00 pm at Sims Funeral home, there will be a viewing Monday March 4, 2019 from 6-7:00 pm at the Sims Funeral Home and also Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 am prior to services. Burial will be in the Soda Springs Fairview Cemetery.
