OBITUARY Gerald Gallaher October 30, 1916 – January 21, 2019 Gerald Gallaher, 102, passed away on Monday January 21, 2019 at Eden Village in Glen Carbon. He was born on October 30, 1916 in Weldon, IL, the son of the late George and Maude (Henderson) Gallaher. Gerald married Jeanetta in Collinsville, IL in 1958.

She preceded him in death on February 6, 2011. He spent his career working as a truck mechanic. After retiring he and Jeanetta spent their time camping and traveling the country in their RV.

He enjoyed keeping busy by building and tinkering with different things at home. Gerald was also a member of Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Collinsville, IL. He is survived by three children Josephine Henderson, GeraldineMakler, and Timothy (Rene) Gallaher; two step children Joycelyn (Arny) Burns and Leroy (Pat) Shea; ten grandchildren Keegan Gallaher, Kelly Gallaher, Dale Shea, Dennis Shea, Lisa Powers, Wendy Sinn, Terry Burns, Randy Burns, Jimmy Burns, and Tracy Burns; four great grandchildren Olivia Casson, Miles Casson, Brelle Gallaher, and Sean Severson.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by four siblings and a grandson Robert Powers. Visitation will be held from 11 am until time of memorial service at 2 pm on Saturday February 2, 2019 at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights, IL. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.
