Obituary for Gerald John “Jerry” Richmeier Gerald John “Jerry” Richmeier, age 80, died April 21, 2018 at his residence in Liberal, KS. He was born February 15, 1938 in Quinter, KS, the son of Balthazar and Angela (Von Lintel) Richmeier. In 1956 he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1959.
He attended Quinter High School. He married Connie A. Page on September 16, 1961 at Hesston, KS. She survives.
He was an owner / operator truck driver for National Carriers, Inc He was retired. Gerald enjoyed fishing, hunting, and Camping.
He also enjoyed being a Royals and Chiefs fan. He was a Lifetime Member of the National Rifle Association, a member of the Kansas Rifle Association and the Elks Lodge BPOE No. 1947 of Liberal.
Survivors include Wife Connie A. Richmeier Liberal, KS 1 Son Craig A. Richmeier Liberal, KS 1 Daughter Geraldine Jean Moats and husband Rick Wichita, KS 7 Sisters Agnes Geist Amarillo, TX Margaret Mealer Denver, CO Sophie Breit Hoisington, KS Roselia Urban (Arsenius) Seward, KS Jean Graf Salida, CO Patricia Graf Denver, CO Roberta Rietcheck Colby, KS 1 Grandchild Michael (Krystal) Lopez and 3 Great Grandchildren Kalea, Michael and Jaden Lopez. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 3 Brothers, Rudolf (Rudy), William and Francis Richmeier. Niece, Sara Graf.
Nephews Carl, Patrick Graf and John Breit. A Rosary service will be at 9:30 am followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 am Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. James Dieker officiating Visitation will be 9:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Brenneman Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends 6 to 7 pm.
Burial will be 2:00 pm Thursday, in the Ft. Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery, Ft. Dodge, KS, with the Kansas Army National Guard.
