Obituary for Geraldine Gardner Robinson Geraldine “Jeri” Gardner Robinson “Grannie” 76, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at her home. Born April 3, 1942 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Howard Scott and Fairlene Turner Gardner and the widow of Marion Major Robinson. Jeri was a fitness instructor for Nautilus Fitness Center.
She was known as “The Cookie Lady” who loved to bake for First North Spartanburg Baptist Church Bible School. Her loves were for red birds, Christmas collectibles, reading, cookbooks, and most especially for her precious family. Survivors include her son, Michael Robinson (Pam) of Boiling Springs, SC; daughter, Donna Bishop (Barney) of Boiling Springs, SC; grandson, Brandon Robinson; granddaughters, Kelly Burgess (Jonathan), Jamie Rapone (Bradley), Meagan Gregory (Joel); great grandchildren, Dominik, Gemma, Felicity, Mary-Jane, Hayley, Aaron, Thea; sisters, Eunice Willingham of Atlanta, GA and Betty Isleib of Spartanburg, SC; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her brother, Carrol Gardner. Visitation will be at 1:45 – 2:45 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A funeral service will be at 3:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by The Rev.
Dr. Michael S. Hamlet and Eulogist will be Mr. Brandon Robinson. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Inverness Assisted Living, 2720 Country Club Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to Alzheimer’s Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
The family will be at the home of Michael and Pam Robinson.
