OBITUARY Geraldine Loyacano August 20, 1937 – November 14, 2018 Geraldine Vedros Loyacano passed away peacefully on November 14, 2018 at the age of 81. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Eddie and Edna Vedros. Loving mother of Kim Cascio (the late Michael) and Marissa Chauvet (Bruce Sr.).

Cherished Grandmother to Angela Cascio, Kelli Cascio (Thanos), Bruce Chauvet Jr., and Andrew Chauvet (Codie). Devoted Great Grandmother of Alexis, Alyssa, Bradley, Millie, Katerina and Austin. Sister of Maud Carmouche and the late Severin Vedros, Edward Vedros and Earl Vedros.

Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Geraldine was a resident of Wynhoven Apartments for the last eighteen years and was known for her charitable volunteering of her services throughout the facility. The first baby to be born in Bridge City, Louisiana, Geraldine was also a lifelong employee of Jefferson Door Company as well as a huge Saints fan and was known to lose her religion on Sundays.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services being held at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home located at 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero and Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Westwego. Visitation will be held at WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN on Friday November 16, 2018 at 8:00am-11:00am. Mass will follow at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CHURCH at 11:30am.

Interment will be at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Mausoleum. Please express condolences at www.
