Mrs. Gerrie Elizabeth (Kilby) Parker departed this world on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on April 20, 1941 to Mrs. Herlene (McGaha) Kilby and the late Mr. Lendolph Kilby, she was 77 years, 7 months, and 21 days of age. She was the cherished wife of, and proud homemaker to, Mr. Harlin Parker, who preceded her in death in 2011.

She took pleasure in her work as a babysitter and childcare provider, and carried that love and compassion all the days of her life. Mrs. Parker had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Chapel Separate Baptist Church. Always artistic, she enjoyed creating colorful drawings and collecting teddy bears, but she was happiest and most content when she had a baby on her lap.

She leaves to cherish her memory: five children: Douglas Wayne Parker and wife Renee of South Carolina, Diana Lynn Lenington and husband Roger of Danville, Kim Knifley and husband Joe of Elk Horn, Amy Hicks and husband Carl of Campbellsville, and Renay Wethington and husband Mike of Campbellsville; her mother: Mrs. Herlene Kilby of Campbellsville; a sister: Shirley Matney and husband Gene of Campbellsville; brothers-in-law: Johnny Parker and wife Jean of Elk Horn, Ron Parker of Florida; three sisters-in-law: Betty Parker of Elk Horn, Patsy Riggs of Illinois, and Burma Wheeler of Campbellsville; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Special Thanks to all the staff at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab for their great care. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Parker on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY.

Bro. Clay Wheeler and Bro. Raymond Atwood will be officiating.

Interment will follow in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, 3441 Old Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 12, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
