Gertrude A. Wawrzynowicz January 23, 1921 – December 22, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Gertrude passed away on Saturday December 22 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing where she had been receiving supportive care for the past several years. She was 97 years of age. Born and raised in Reading she was the beloved daughter of the late Julian and Eva (Gauthier) Wilton.

A devoted homemaker and mother she shared 43 years of marriage with her husband Edward J. Wawrzynowicz. Gert was widowed in 1988. She was a longtime resident of Chelsea and enjoyed gardening and crocheting in her spare time.

In addition to her husband Gertrude was predeceased by her brothers; the late Joseph, Ray and Richard Wilton. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Wawrzynowicz, Sr. Devoted mother of Edward Wawrzynowicz, Jr. and his wife Christina of Saugus. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Sunday December 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Her funeral will be conducted on Monday December 31st from the Welsh Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
