Gilbert G. Lorenzen, 92, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday, December 07, 2018 at Sheboygan Senior Community. Gilbert was born November 2, 1926, in Sheboygan, to the late Lorenz and Linda (Dexheimer) Lorenzen. He graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1944.

Gilbert proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II in Japan. On August 20, 1949, he married the former Catherine “Katie” Drott in Sheboygan. She preceded him in death on April 9, 2006.

Gibby was… Read More » a printer by trade and owned and operated Lorenzen’s Lawn Mower service in Sheboygan with his brother and father. After retirement, he enjoyed driving the shuttle bus for the American Club in Kohler. Gibby also had many good friends at Mapledale Senior Apartments Building C. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove.

Gibby and Katie enjoyed many years of golfing and traveling the United States in their motor home. Survivors include his three children, Michael (Linda) Lorenzen, Menomonie, Donna (Jonathan) Held, Sheboygan and Nancy (Ewald) Keszthelyi, St. Augustine, FL; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth (Ken) Spencer, Holmen; one sister-in-law, Eloise (Ken) Kausler, Jacksonville, OR. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (W2776 Hwy 32, Howards Grove) with Rev. Darrel Bergelin officiating.

Friends may call on Friday, at the church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Kohler. Please visit www.
