Obituary for Ginger Ann Bowden Hixson Ginger Ann Bowden Hixson passed away and went home to her Heavenly Father, October 31st 2018. She will reunite with many loved ones, but above all her husband, Steve and son, Scott which will bring her such joy and happiness. Ginger was born in Park City, Utah on April 3rd 1950, the youngest of six children to Webster and Elda Bowden.

She and her husband Steve Hixson were married June 20th 1969 in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple. They were married for 45 years before Steve passed in 2014. Together they had two children Scott and Heather and shortly after moved to Silver Creek Junction near Park City where they enjoyed many years together.

Ginger spent her early years raising her two children and taking care of their every need. There were many vacations and outings that Ginger shared with her family which she truly cherished. Later she started working doing an array of jobs around Park City and enjoying the new friendships she would develop along the way.

These different friendships made a strong impact on her life. She loved to share her new experiences and knowledge with others which made her happy and fulfilled. Whenever Ginger was around you there was never a loss of words, she always wore a wonderful smile and enjoyed sharing stories and laughing.

She had such a welcoming manner about her and was always interested in your life and looked forward to hearing the new things you would share with her. Ginger loved music and dancing especially in the arms of her beloved husband Steve when the two of them were on the dance floor you could just feel their love. Ginger had a strong testimony of the LDS church and truly loved the gospel.

She will be truly missed but she is finally out of pain and can be at peace. She is survived by daughter Heather (Frank) Stanton; brother Doug Bowden; brother Gary (Gayle) Bowden; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She adored being “Grandma Ginger” to Teigan and Freya Day as well as Isla, Anna-bell, and Remington Bosworth.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Webster and Elda Bowden; husband, Stephen Hixson; son, Scott Hixson; brother, Darwin Bowden; sister, Marjorie Burt; and sister, Beth Bowden. Funeral Services will be held Monday November 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Silver Creek LDS Ward, 510 East Silver Summit Parkway. There will be a viewing on Sunday November 4, 2018 from 6-8 at the LDS church and on Monday 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the services also at the LDS church.

Interment will follow the services in the Charleston Cemetery. Address: approx. 2800 West 3700 South, Heber City, on the south side of Highway 189.
