OBITUARY Ginger J. Mason August 31, 1941 – January 8, 2019 Ginger J. Mason, 77, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Ginger was born in Holliday, Texas on August 31, 1941. She was the youngest of five children to Cole Tidwell and Velma (Yancey) Tidwell.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Covelle, parents, and three sisters Barbara Eldridge, Fee Wheeler, and Betty Brady. Ginger was a member of the Holliday Eagles marching band for three years and graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1959. While working at Scott’s Drive In, she met and married John Odus Mason on June 27, 1959 in Wichita Falls, TX.

They were married 59 years. Ginger was a member of First Christian Church in Iowa Park, and throughout her life was involved in politics, numerous charitable organizations, and public supported organizations. Those who knew her best, knew her greatest contributions were love and labor for her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews making costumes, dresses, planning parties, school projects, and being the super fan supporting their every dream and endeavor.

She is survived by her husband John, three children Mikki (Don), Cindy (Todd), Scott (Michelle) and 7 loving grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Cole W Tidwell (Jo Rheta) along with numerous brother and sister in laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 14th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church in Iowa Park with Pastor Landon Winstead officiating.

At Ginger’s request, memorial donations can be made to First Christian Church in Iowa Park and Hospice of Wichita Falls.
