Giovaninna Colavita, 92, of Providence, passed away, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at The Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Pasquale Colavita. Born in Colli A Volturno, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Nicandro and Maria (Paseri) DiClemente.

Mrs. Colavita worked for Marcello Meats for many years before retiring. A skilled seamstress, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her three children, Angela DeCiantis, Aniello Colavita and Rita Colavita-Hemond and her husband Bruce Hemond; four grandchildren, Anthony DeCiantis, Lisa DeCiantis, Marc Colavita and Victoria Colavita; and six great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Colavita, Amanda DeCiantis, Ethan Kasht, Sierra Colavita, Lorenzo DeCiantis and Isabella DeCiantis. She was the sister of the late Vittorio DiClemente. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave.

, Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
