Obituary for Giroud McDaniel Giroud McDaniel, 84, husband of the late Sue Isbell McDaniel, died Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Covenant Place. Born March 9, 1934, in Edgefield County, he was a son of the late Gordon V. McDaniel and the late Lillian Holmes McDaniel. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 28 years of service and was a Cold War and Vietnam War veteran.

He also retired from Kimbrell’s Furniture after 14 years of service. He was a member of Springbank Baptist Church. Survivors include two children, Philip A. McDaniel of Columbia and Janet L. Hoffman (Jerry) of Sumter; and a sister, Frances McDaniel Ellenburg of Ninety Six.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 5481 Meadow Dr. Memorials may be made to Springbank Baptist Church, P.O. Box 159, Dalzell, SC 29040.
