Obituary for Virgnina Brunk “Gin” Shirley Print Virginia “Gin” Brunk Shirley, 97, widow of George E. Shirley, died Saturday, February 9, 2019, at her home. Born October 2, 1921, in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Christian DeWitt Brunk and the late Ida LeGrand Brunk. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include two nieces, Carol Phillips Kirven (Larry) of Sumter and Virginia Phillips Nasipak of Delray Beach, FL; six great nieces and nephews, David Alderman, Chris Alderman, Rev. Dr. Mark Clavier, Philip Clavier, Kimberly Gravely, and Travis McEwen; and caregiver, Deloris Purnell. A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev.
