Gladys A. Schwenkner (nee Hohn), 84, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on September 11, 1934 to the late William and Adella (nee Kriewaldt) in Shawano Wisconsin. On February 16, 1957 she was united in marriage to Roger Schwenkner.

Gladys was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She liked puzzles and going to her bible classes. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Those Gladys leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Roger Schwenkner; her two daughters, Vicki Irle and Dawn Peters; a grandson, Mitchell Peters; a sister, Mary Lou Kessen; a brother, Harvey Hohn; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her step father, Louis Bluemke. A funeral service in remembrance of Gladys will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Lutheran Hour in Gladys’s name is appreciated by the family. The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Gladys’s arrangements.
