OBITUARY Gladys Durham December 12, 1940 – October 26, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Gladys Jane (Redmond) Durham was born on December 12, 1940 in Opelousas, LA to Robert and Stella Redmond. She moved to Houston, TX in 1965 where she met her beloved husband, Johnny Lee Durham. They raised their two children, David and Shelia, and provided a loving home.

To her friends and family, she was affectionately known by the nickname “Tiny”. She always welcomed her loved ones over for a home cooked meal and entertaining conversation. Gladys enjoyed gardening and sitting out in the yard admiring her flowers.

She loved watching the news and her favorite home décor channel “HGTV”, while relaxing in her recliner with a cup of coffee and a cigarette. After retiring from Texas Instruments, she dedicated her life to spending quality time with her grandchildren. Gladys leaves to cherish her memory her son, David Wayne Durham; daughter, Shelia Marie Malveaux (Patrick); brother, Raphael Redmond; granddaughters, Sheena Marie Smith (Reginald), Shantel Shenee` Malveaux; and grandson, Jeremy Johnson.

Also two great-grandsons, Reginald John Smith III and Shakoria Johnson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lee Durham; her parents, Robert and Stella Redmond; sister, Mary Ellen Redmond; and three brothers, Jimmy Ray, Donald Ray and Joseph Redmond.
