OBITUARY Harold D Hill October 22, 1937 – December 26, 2018 Harold D. Hill, age 81, of Houston TX and formerly of Kingfisher OK, passed away on Wednesday, December 26th,2018 while in the comfort of his loving family. Harold was born October 22, 1937 on a farm in Loyal, OK to Wilbert and Ollie Hill. Following graduation from Kingfisher High School in 1955, he continued his studies at Oklahoma A&M College of Engineering (now Oklahoma State University) in Stillwater OK and Weaver Airlines School in Kansas City MO.

In 1958, Harold entered the military service in the United States Army and served with pride and distinction. Harold advanced to the rank of Sergeant (E-5) until earning an honorable discharge in 1964 and the thanks of a grateful nation. Harold was a professional ironworker and a loyal member of the Ironworker Local #84 until his retirement in August 1986.

Evidence of Harold’s lifetime of work are forever on display in the buildings, skyscrapers, and majestic city skylines of Houston and around the country. After his ironworking career, Harold joined Safety-Kleen Environmental and played a key role in the cleanup of our Nation until his second retirement in 2002. Harold loved his family and enjoyed gardening in his yard, taking care of his Koi fish pond, drinking coffee in the morning and reading the Kingfisher Times & Free Press paper.

He was a member of the University Baptist Church in Houston where he enjoyed bible studies with his many friends or traveling on international missions to build homes for those in need. Harold is survived by his wife Beverly of 50 years; his two daughters, Kareen Farmer of Houston TX, and Traci Hill of Oklahoma City OK; his son Chris Hill and wife Allison of Springfield VA; and five grandchildren, Colten, Lindsey, Naomi and Sophia and Jean. Harold was preceded in death by his father Wilbert and mother Ollie; his sister Rose Mary; and three brothers Larry Don, Tommie Max; two sons Randy and Mark; and son-in-law Paul Farmer.
