OBITUARY Gladys Elizabeth Dillehay September 9, 1919 – July 17, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Mrs. Gladys Elizabeth (Moffett) Dillehay was born on September 9, 1919 in Tylertown, Mississippi, to the late Grace Pate Tummins and the late George R. Moffett. Gladys passed away at the age of 98 on July 17, 2018 in Friendswood, Texas. Gladys graduated from Istrouma High School in 1938.

Gladys was married to the late James Dillehay. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Robert Moffett, Jr., and sister Lucille Gremillion. Gladys is survived by her sons James L. Dillehay, Jr., Samuel D. Dillehay, and Donald R. Dillehay; Daughter Mary Ann Betthauser; grandchildren David Dillehay, Dana Elizabeth Benavides, Stephanie Elizabeth Dillehay, and Joshua Betthauser; and great-grandchildren Cooper Benavides and Callie Elizabeth Benavides.

Gladys was a member of First Christian Church La Marque. She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She was a great cook, loved fishing, and she loved to play video poker and bingo.

She was a kind, loving person and always took care of others. She was loved by all who knew her. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.

A Committal Service will be held on Friday July 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM.
