OBITUARY Gladys Fay Richter May 2, 1916 – October 13, 2018 Gladys “Mimi” Richter passed away in San Angelo on Saturday, October 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Mimi was born on May 02, 1916 in Bell County, Texas to Lewis and Ida Finney. At an early age Mimi was picking cotton, cooking and caring for her younger siblings.

She married the love of her life, Milton Richter on January 17, 1936. Mimi and Milton would raise their only child and build a loving life together until Milton’s passing on December 21, 1993. Mimi had an amazing work ethic; she retired from hair dressing at the bold age of 95.

In that time frame Mimi would become a member of the All Texas Hair Designers Club, State Board of Texas of Cosmetologist, she would teach Cosmetology at the University of Oklahoma and study Advanced Styling in London, Paris and Rome. Many of Mimi’s great passions were her love for the lord, dancing and family, especially her many grandkids. Her steadfast faith and belief in strength in family values have always been a constant bench marker her entire life.

She was lovingly referred to as Sarge by her church family because of her wonderful ability to plan numerous church events. Mimi was very well known in the community because of her infectious laugh and her brilliant love for life. Mimi was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia Quintal, granddaughter Debbie (Clay) Cross, Grandsons; Rick (Tammera) Holland and Sean Blouin, great grandson; Dusty (Chris) Hester, great granddaughters; Danielle (Devin) Barratt, Brittany Blouin, Jordan Blouin, Great grandsons; Cameron Holland, Skylar Holland, Jacob Blouin, Wesley Holland, Great Great Grand Kids; Kallie Barratt, Brodie Barratt, Ty Hester, Evan Cross, Bentlie Barratt, Troy Tirado, Everett Cross, sisters; Esther Barrett and Helen “Recie” Zipper and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 6PM to 8PM. Funeral services will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 1PM with graveside interment services to follow in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
