Gladys Odessia Fortenberry, 100 years old, passed away November 10, 2018 in Pasadena, Texas. Gladys was born on March 18, 1918 to parents James and Amelia Glasscock in Nacogdoches County, Texas. She was a dedicated and long-time member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church.

Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mentor, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Glasscock and sister, Trulia Jenkins. Fortenberry; grandchildren, William Fortenberry III and wife Melissa, April Dunaway and husband Ray; great-grandchildren, Jackson Dunaway, William Fortenberry, Ryan Fortenberry, as well as extended family members and friends.

Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Carter-Conley Funeral Home. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Watson Holyfield will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15th in the chapel of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16th at Ebenezer Cemetery in Arp, Texas under the direction of Carter Conley Funeral Home.
