Obituary for Gladys Vivian Cordle (Bailey) Print Gladys Vivian Bailey Cordle 1930-2019 Gladys Cordle, 88, of Grayson, went to her eternal rest February 12, 2019 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. She was born October 30, 1930 in Grahn, KY; a daughter of the late Rant and Dora Knipp Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Cordle; two sisters, Betty Schlaechter Sloan, and Inetta Johnson; four brother-in-laws, John Schlaechter, Jim Sloan, George Johnson, and Billy Middleton.
She was of the Baptist faith, and she had worked in a sewing factory in her younger days. She is survived by two brothers; Harold (Betty) Bailey of Hitchins, KY and Bob (Carol) Bailey of Westerville, OH; three sisters, Gennetta Middleton of Ashville, OH, Carol (David) King of Baltimore, OH, and Helen (Ken) Walker of Grayson, KY. Funeral services will be Friday, Feburary 15, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Grant Sammons, minister.
Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery at Grahn. Visitation will be Friday one hour before the service at the funeral home. Online condolences at www.
