Glenda Suttle Southern, 78, peacefully passed away on October 3, 2018. She was born October 5, 1939 in Asheville, NC to the late Kenneth O’Connor Suttle and Lillian Louise (Crisp) Suttle. She was a long time member of Palms Presbyterian Church.

Glenda was a devoted mother and grandmother, pouring out her life to her family and blessing us all. She was encouraging and generous, always thinking of others and giving to anyone in need. She had a quirky sense of humor and loved to laugh.

She will be sorely missed. She became a Realtor over 30 years ago and loved her job. Even after retirement, she kept up with colleagues and the real estate world.

Glenda is survived by her children, Mark (Robin), Phillip (Alexandra) and Melissa (Josh) Gilbert; grandchildren, Tucker, Cole, Sebastian, Noah, Joshua and Jillian; and devoted ex-husband and life long best friend, Calvin Southern. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, October 13, 2018 in Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home, 3600 3rd Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 with a celebration of life afterwards at the Valencia Condominium Clubhouse, 4300 South Beach Parkway, Jacksonville Beach, FL.
