Obituary for Gloria Jean Hobson (Morando) Gloria J. Hobson, age 64, of Abilene, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Memorial Hospital in Abilene. She was born June 22, 1954, in Gypsum, Kansas the daughter of John and Jean (Wavrik) Morando. Gloria graduated from Abilene High School and was married to Lee Hobson on January 19, 1973.

They later divorced. Gloria was a clerk at the Dickinson County District Court for 33 years. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Anguiano (Kyle Jones) of McPherson, Kansas; brother Bob Morando of Abilene, sister Barbara Graff (Greg) of Overland Park, Kansas; two grandchildren Kristin and Mason Anguiano of McPherson; three nieces and one nephew.

The family has selected cremation. Private family graveside services will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made the Abilene Parks and Recreation Commission for the benefit of the rose garden in Eisenhower Park or to the Elsie Brooks Cancer Fund and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
