OBITUARY Gloria “Jeanie” Petty Ging Noe July 10, 1946 – January 29, 2019 On Tuesday, January 29, 2019, Gloria Jean Petty Ging Noe, known to family and friends as “Jeanie,” passed away at age 72. Jeanie was born in Louisville, KY, but lived the majority of her life in Pensacola, FL. She had a lifelong passion for children and animals (she was never without a canine companion).

Her love for children was demonstrated time and again during the many years that she worked with students in the ESE program at Holm Elementary School. In her retirement, she could be found solving crossword and logic puzzles, rooting for her Nashville Predators, worrying whether those around her were eating enough, and wearing out screen protectors on her Nintendo DS. Jeanie is survived by her daughters Janet Thomley (Mark) and Kristi Ging (Phillip Muldoon), her beloved schnauzers, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Noe; her father, Charles Lee; her mother, Ruth Ernestine; and her sisters, Patricia O’Rourke and Joyce Noe. Those familiar with Jeanie know she hated being the center of attention and would rather give than receive. In lieu of funeral services, and to honor Jeanie’s wishes, we ask that all who wish to participate make a donation in her name to Gulf Coast Kid’s House or Pensacola Humane Society.
