Gloria Monchino, 93, of Herrin, passed away 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Reflections in Carterville. Gloria retired in 1984 after 20 years from County Trust Bank in Tenafly, NJ as manager of the computer room. Gloria was born April 14, 1925 in West New York, NJ Gloria was united in marriage with Dominick R. Monchino on September 16, 1945 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West New York, NJ.

Surviving are two… Read More » sons and daughter-in-law, Don Monchino of Newburgh, NY, Mike and Donna Monchino of Herrin; five grandchildren, Nicole (James) Farrell of Cochecton, NY, Khristin (Tom) Canavan of Gardiner, NY, Matt (Nicole) Monchino of Herrin, IL, Jason (Erin) Monchino of Herrin, Mike Monchino of Herrin; ten great grandchildren, Douglas Farrell, Kelsey Farrell, Lindsey Canavan, Carly Canavan, Kaylee Canavan, John Canavan, Madison Monchino, Abigail Monchino, Gabriella Monchino and Lily Kate Monchino; two brothers, Dan Maresca and his wife, Anne of Paramus, NJ, Charles Maresca of Paramus, NJ; two sisters-in-law, Theresa DeDio of Little Ferry, NJ and Jeanne Lear of Whiting, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter-in-law, Cindy Monchino; parents and four brothers, Edgar Lear, Harold Lear, Raymond Lear and Walter Lear.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Jason McKinnies officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy.
