Gordon’s Obituary Gordon K. Muckey, Jr., of Newfield, NY, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Cayuga Medical Center. He was born in Ithaca, son of the late Gordon and Patricia Lovelace Muckey. Gordie was the owner of G.R.P. Heating & Air Conditioning.

He was an avid outdoorsman, loved his dogs and enjoyed Civil War Rendezvous. Gordie is survived by his children, Jason Muckey (Lauren), Sara Currier (Rick) and Elizabeth Gravely (Andy); his grandchildren, Jason Jr., Joshua, Leah, Elyse, Joe, Emily and Phoebe and his great granddaughter, Thea. He is also survived by his sisters, Cindy Favunen (Ronald), Dawn Muckey-Rantanen (John), Maxine Barr (Lance), Jackie Sinn (Don) and Tammy Muckey-Spencer (Jim); his aunt, Joan Griswold and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gordie was also predeceased by his grandson, Nick. Friends may call on Saturday, February 02, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Bangs Funeral Home. A celebration of Gordie’s life will be held in warmer weather and will be announced at a future date.

In lieu of flowers a charity will be announced.
