OBITUARY Grace Elvie Holden October 1, 1923 – October 3, 2018 Grace Elvie Holden, 95, passed away October 3, 2018. Mrs. Holden was born October 1, 1923, in Ellicott City Maryland to George Otis Jett and Helen Irene (Cavey) Jett. She graduated from Catonsville High School at the age of 16 and completed one year of College at State Teachers College at Towson.

Grace was proud of her Irish and Native American heritage. She was an active member of the Republican Party. Grace was integral in establishing Oella, Maryland on the National Register.

Additionally, Mrs. Holden was paramount in re-erecting the historical Nine Mile Marker on Frederick Road in 1984, which advised travelers they were still nine miles from the Baltimore Harbor. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Mrs. Holden was pre-deceased by her parents, her brothers, William Otis Jett, Jack J. Jett, George O. Jett, Jerome F. Jett and Donald Jett; her sisters, Amber Webb, Edna B. Satterfield, Helen Jett and June Purnell; and her husband, Bertram H. Holden.

Grace is survived by her son, Kenneth W. Blackburn of Bel Air MD; daughters, Cheryl L. Boise and husband, Leo Wayne Boise of Bel Air MD, and Denise DeBow and husband, Robert L. DeBow, Jr. of Lakeland FL; sister, Mary Kazmaier; grandchildren, Nicole Gursky and husband Geoff of Hampstaed MD, Kyle Blackburn and wife Kelly of Bel Air MD, Scott Boise and wife Karen of Albuquerque NM, Shaun Boise of Bel Air MD and Amy Tarleton of Baltimore MD; and her great-grandchildrem, Dominic Boise, Gavin and Loreli Gursky, Kameron and Kalan Blackburn and Zachary and Samuel Tubb.
