Grace Marie Salkowski died peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 18, 1931, in Kewaunee, Wisconsin, the cherished and only child of Emily and Henry Novotny. She attended Holy Rosary School and graduated from Kewaunee High School.

On May 10, 1952 she married Charles Leo Salkowski, who preceded her in death. She received early training in nursing and surgical assistance in the office of Dr. William Witcpalek. She later attended the University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point.

She worked for many years at Hartford Union High School, Hartford, WI, where she and her husband raised their family. Grace was an active volunteer throughout her life, including with the Hartford Lioness Club where she organized the blood drives. She is survived by her children: Sally (Scott) Witte of Milwaukee, Jeanne (Michael) Cohen of Brown Deer, Barbara (Timothy) Sandretti of Bedford, TX, Charles, Jr. (Caryn) Salkowski of League City, TX, Paul (Patty) Salkowski, of Sartell, MN, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation is Friday, July 13, 2018 from 4 – 5:45 p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 W. State Street, Hartford, WI. Mass of Resurrection will follow at 6 p.m. and Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kewaunee, WI at Noon. Visitation from 11 a.m. – Noon at church.

Interment is at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Kewaunee, WI.
