Gracie’s Obituary Gracie M. Elizondo passed away March 2, 2019 at the age of 73. Born in Kingsville, Texas to her father Cipriano Mendietta and her mother Lucy Gibson on May 25, 1945. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend; now our Guardian Angel in heaven.

Gracie taught her children to be strong, loyal, independent and caring. She had a profound faith in God, always trusting in His plan. She always desired to help anyone in need, whether it was to lend a helping hand or simply a shoulder to cry on.

Gracie devoted 18 years to her career at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center as a Ward Clerk. Always with a smile on her face and a joke on her lips, she left anyone she encountered with a bit of happiness. She expressed everyday of life that one her greatest joys were grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; they all brought her so much pride and love.

Although she is no longer with us her beautiful spirit will live on through each of them. She will be greatly missed. Gracie was preceded in death by her son Albert Meza; her husband Joaquin B. Elizondo; and both of her parents.

She leaves behind, to cherish her memories, children: Maggie Howell (David), Abel Meza, Jr., Melinda Meza, Trinity Grace Elizondo; grandchildren: Marissa Rodriguez, Yasmin Palmerin, Veronica Garcia, Demetrius Garcia, Nicole Garcia, Valerie Garcia, Faith Sara Meza. Jessica Garcia; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great children; siblings: Elvira Perez (Jesse) of Dallas, Dolores Armondtrout (Roy) of Mathis, Dahlia Blevins (Chuck), Esther Mendietta, Virginia Mendietta, Dorianna Mendietta, Damian Mendietta of California; numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored.
