Mr. Grant Hall Danskine, 84, of Dunnellon, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at his residence. A native of Detroit, Michigan, he moved to this area in 1981, coming here from Key Biscayne, Florida. Mr. Danskine was a golf course greens keeper, both in Key Biscayne and in Dunnellon.

He proudly served his country in the US Army, and his memberships include First Presbyterian Church of Dunnellon, the Wall Rives American Legion Post #58 in Dunnellon, and the Scottish Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his 2 sons, Grant H. Danskine, Jr. of Naples, FL, and Andrew William Danskine, Irons, Michigan; 2 daughters, Mary Elizabeth Kindred, Dunnellon, and Janet Hall Priest, Muskegon, Michigan; his brother Robert Hall Danskine, Oregon; 26 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and his step children Lori Bazemore, Katie Jo Spicer, Judy Godfry, John Ell, Robert Ell, and Mark Ell. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Danskine will be buried with military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 1:30 PM on Thursday afternoon.
