Obituary for Gregory F.X. Mangan Gregory F.X. Mangan, 74 of Annadale passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at home. Born Monday, January 3, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Edward Mangan and the late Jayne Pica Mangan. He was also predeceased by his sister, Patricia Clarke.

Gregory an insurance broker, retired in 2009 for the Aon Corporation. He relished trips to Vegas to play the slots and could be found in Atlantic City enjoying himself also. More than anything Gregory enjoyed his fishing trips out with Mike his friend, on Mike’s boat Loaves and Fishes.

He was a long time parishioner of Our Lady Star of The Sea, being married in the original church on Huguenot Ave. Beloved husband of 40 years to Patricia Pirrone Mangan. Loving father of Edward Mangan and Christopher Mangan, daughter, Jessica Mataya.

Dear father in law of Elizabeth Mangan, Jaime Mangan and Scott Mataya. Devoted brother of Maureen Mangan. Cherished grandfather of Catcher Mangan and Bryce Xavier Mataya.

A Mass of Christian Burial will offered at 11:15 AM on Thursday at Our Lady Star of The Sea located at 5411 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Private Cremation to follow. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
