Guadalupe ( Lupe ) T. Rodriguez, age 88 passed away peacefully May 08, 2019 due to complications from Diabetes. She was born August 19, 1930 in Bryan, Texas to Toribio Tijerina and Maria M. Martinez. She later married Ascension Rodriguez an had three children.

Her son Rudolpho preceded her in death in 1952. Lupe was very creative. She sewed and made many decorative items.

She always made them with a lot of love and patience. She loved doing many other things like cooking, ( her tamales were the best ). Shopping with her closest friend Madeline, gardening and reading her bible were among things closest to her heart.

She was a parishioner at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Fort Worth,Texas for many years. But she had a servant’s heart and later worked directly with the Priests and Deacons as a homemaker. Lupe also helped with the care of her parents until their death and caring for her grandchildren.

She was always doing for others. She was a blessed Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother Her life was a living example of her favorite bible verses; Matthew 5:8; ” How blest are those whose hearts are pure; they shall see God ” . Acts 20:3; ” I showed you that it is our duty to help the weak in this way, by hard work, and that we should keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus, who himself said, ” Happiness lies more in giving than in receiving” She is survived by her Brothers; Bernard Sanchez, Domingo Sanchez, Phillip Sanchez.

Sisters: Lillian Salazar, Emily Melendrez, Daughter; Dolores Kennedy, Son; Rudy Rodriguez; Grandchildren; Aaron Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez, Erica Rodriguez; Carmen Barbee, Carolyn Hoyecki and Teresa Greenwood; 9 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren among many nephews and nieces.
