Obituary for GUADALUPE “LUPITA” V. ARBIZU A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Guadalupe “Lupita” V. Arbizu age 68 of Lamesa, Texas at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Cathoic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday starting at 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary prayer service on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Lupita passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 9, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas. In the year 1990 Lupita and Henry Billalobos started a new life together with their families.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carmen Cahill Arbizu, Sr., and her great-grand daughter, Miracle Faith Renteria. Lupita worked for the Lamesa ISD for twenty-five years as a custodian and a bus driver of “Bus A-1”. She loved to dance.

Lupita was always full of humor and had many friends. Lupita is survived by her six children, daughter, Joann Flores of Lamesa, Texas, daughter, Guadalupe V. Arbizu, Jr., son, Gabriel V. Arbizu, daughter, Bridget Inocencia Villarreal Arbizu Natividad , son, James Arbizu, all of Lubbock, Texas, daughter, Priscilla V.
