OBITUARY Gustavo Adolfo Arellano February 22, 1947 – July 11, 2018 Coppell, TX – Gustavo Arellano, 71, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Gustavo is survived by his wife of 44 years, Maria Elena Arellano, his three children and spouses, Carolina and Ricardo (Najera), Alex and Angela (San Juan), and Kevin; his four grandchildren, Ricky, Lucia, Sofia and Martin; his three siblings, Carlos, Marta and Daniel; as well as multiple nieces and nephews. Born and Raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the son of Carlos and Cuca Arellano, Gustavo became first a pilot and then an aerospace engineer.

Gustavo moved to the United States with his family in 1992. Shortly after Gustavo’s arrival in the United States he started an international aviation trading business which provided for his family to live a comfortable life with him and also provided many people with employment opportunities. Gustavo was the embodiment of the American Dream, he truly loved his family, he was a loving husband, great brother, incredible father and caring grandfather.

Gustavo’s business and family ties took him all over the world (Argentina, Germany, Italy, France, Canada and countless others). Gustavo was never afraid of what other people thought about him, he valued his family and friends and he always provided love and affection to them. Gustavo had a deep faith which gave him his incredible optimism and internal strength.

Gustavo will be remembered most for his passion for life, optimism and sense of adventure. His life motto was “Never Give Up,” and true to his motto he never let failure keep him from persevering and reaching his goals. Gustavo will forever live in the hearts and minds of everyone he had an impact on and especially his friends and family.

A religious service will be held Monday, July 16, at the St. Ann Catholic Church at 2pm.
