MAZATLAN, MEXICO / MADISON, WI – Gustavo Velazquez Garcia, age 53, left us unexpectedly to be reunited with his father on Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born on June 30th, 1965 in Mazatlan, Sinaloa to Gustavo Velazquez Garcia and Laura Garcia Orozco. Gustavo graduated from the Instituto Tecnologico de Mazatlan with a degree in business administration.

He married the love of his life, Milsa Tejeda, on July 3rd, 1993 in Agua Verde, Sinaloa. Gustavo made extreme sacrifices to immigrate to America and set his sons on a righteous path. Lo vamos a extranar mucho.

Gustavo is survived by his wife of 25 years, Milsa; sons, Gustavo (Jackie) Velazquez, Gabriel Velazquez, and Gerardo Velazquez; mother, Laura Garcia Orozco; siblings, Alfredo (Adriana) Velazquez, Lorena Velazquez, and Teresa (One) Velazquez; and close friends Steve (Shari) Sachtjen. He is preceded in death by his father, Gustavo Velazquez. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at ST.
