He moved to Mesa, AZ when he was 16 and Graduated from Mesa High School in 1950. He worked at Interharvest and JR Norton company. He farmed all over Arizona, New Mexico, California, and Nevada.

He was known as a talented farmer who could grow anything! He was incredibly proud of his Mexican roots, a country he would always consider home. He loved riding horses, drinking beer, fishing, and telling stories of his childhood in Mexico.

His greatest strength was his generous capacity for love. He was well-loved and loved so many in return. His greatest rdzt/s of frustration, joy, and pride were his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Even people who weren’t related to him referred to him as grandpa. Harold had a self-deprecating sense of humor. He was full of silly, yet somehow charming insults, making everyone around him laugh and feel uniquely special to him.

In that spirit he asked to be remembered as, “A grouchy old bastard”. And so it is… All are welcome to join us in celebrating his life. The viewing is at 9 A.M. with a 10 A.M. service to follow on Friday, July 13, 2018.
