Obituary for Harold Wade Bays Harold Wade “Sugar Bear” Bays passed away on March 18, 2019 in Ripley, Oklahoma. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Strode Funeral and Cremation is in charge of the service.

He was born on July 19, 1958 to Willfred and Rosella (Gottfried) Bays in Stillwater, Oklahoma where he attended Stillwater High School. After graduation he went to work at Airgas where he was employed for more than thirty years. Guns and model trains were of interest to him and he enjoyed socializing at the casino in Perkins.

He was out-going, laughed often, and was a joy to know. No matter where he went, he made friends and he will be greatly missed by a host of family, friends, and coworkers. Harold was predeceased by his parents and longtime girlfriend, Julie Hayes and is survived by his brother Steve Bays and special cousin Lyn Brown, both of Stillwater.
